With all of the different options to choose from when it comes to StealthFyre modular stove technology, you may be wondering, “Which one of these modular stoves is right for me?”

Thanks to StealthFyre’s unique stove design, we’ve been able to establish a tier-style product line that allows you to start out small, build your kit, or switch up the whole system if need be. With that being said, the first thing you should know when deciding which stove to purchase is that you’re never restricted to just the stove you see on the front of the box.

The Flagship Isn’t The Only Modular Stove You Can Make

Each of our kits has its own “flagship” stove design, but it also allows for several other types of stoves as well. This means that no matter which stove you own, you only ever need to carry the panels you plan on using and nothing more. Not only that, but you can combine them with other StealthFyre stove kits for expanded versatility as well.

With that in mind, which stove do you really need? Let’s run through each of our kits and describe in detail the benefits of each stove for different kinds of outdoor activities.

The Bush Runner
The Flagship configuration of the Bush Runner Modular survival stove.

The Bush Runner is our smallest available modular stove. It’s by far the best choice for solo campers and ultralight backpackers. As with all of our flagship stoves, the panels in this kit will allow you to build a Dakota Fire Hole. It weighs a little more than 3lbs. and gives you at least a half dozen different stove options.

In effect, you get two working stoves in one kit. This is the case with all of our stoves. As for the Bush Runner, you can carry as little as 16 oz. worth of panels and have a functioning stove. This little four-panel stove still provides more than 20 square inches of cooking surface.

The Deuce
The flagship configuration of the Deuce modular survival stove.

The Deuce kit takes its name from the fact that it is simply two Bush Runners in one package. This modular stove is for the more adventurous. While still being great for the solo camper and ultralight backpackers, this stove not only gives you all the versatility of our Bush Runner kit, but it also adds functionality by allowing you to build a small potbelly style stove with a short chimney.

This makes the stove stealthier, but also allows you to use it inside primitive shelters with our ultralight chimney accessory add-on. Bush crafters, stealth campers, and wild campers will find tremendous use out of this kit due to the dozen or so different stove designs.

The Origin
The Original design, our large Dakota Fire Hole style camp stove.

Our original design. This full-size Dakota Fire Pit is great for family outings, group camping, car camping, and other styles of camping that include groups of four or more people. Being four times as large as our Bush Runner flagship configuration, it still functions much the same, only on a larger scale.

You can produce two wood burning modular stoves large enough to cook four hamburgers each or to support skillets larger than 10 inches in diameter. And it gives you nearly a dozen other options of stoves to boot. One of our favorite configurations with this stove is the potbelly style assembly that allows us to place a cast iron griddle on the surface for cooking breakfast foods and restaurant-style lunches.

The Origin Deluxe
A deluxe StealthFyre Origin kit that includes the ability to build Bush Runner stove configurations.

By adding four additional panels to our Origin stove kit, we were able to nearly double the different styles of stove you can build while only adding an additional 16 oz. to the package. Weighing roughly the same as our Deuce kit, this stove is ideal for anyone that does a wide range of camping and outdoor cooking activities.

Because two of the added panels are our small square tunnel wall panels from the Bush Runner and Deuce kits, The Origin Deluxe gives you all the configurations of the Bush Runner and the Origin kits, plus a few others you can’t find in either of the two. That makes this modular stove a perfect fit for anyone that just loves cooking outdoors.

The Guerrilla Master
The Guerrilla Master is our largest available kit. It can build more than 3 dozen different stove designs.

Our largest stove offering, this kit isn’t for the faint of heart! Maybe you’re the kind of person that would rather sleep under a canopy of stars than a roof. Or you’re always dreaming of new adventures, and you suffer from wanderlust. This is definitely the kit for you.

Since doubling down on the Bush Runner and creating the Deuce worked out so well for us, we did it again with the Origin Deluxe. This monster survival stove kit weighs nearly 12 and ½ lbs. And contains 48 panels! But that doesn’t mean you have to lug all that weight with you everywhere you go. It does mean is that you have every single stove we have to offer you, and then some.

Build Anything, Anywhere

You can do anything you can dream up with this stove, including use the panels to make storage containers around camp! But why stop there? If you’re feeling particularly industrious you can set up a good cooking stove and use the rest of the panels to start making bricks to lay the foundation for your future wilderness home away from home, with a lovely brick fireplace and hearth.

This modular stove is seriously designed for those untamed souls that blaze their own trail and seek their own way to survive the elements. It’s for those of us that want to tinker, think, hack, and master the elements. And just because we stopped here, doesn’t mean you have to.

Increase Your Stash

Double down again with this kit and there’s no telling what you can do. Preliminary experimentation in virtual assemblies has shown us the feasibility of constructing a rocket mass heater large enough to warm a ground-based bed in a primitive shelter with a thermal channel 7 ft. in length and a square chimney of matching height. But you’ll need at least three Guerrilla Master kits to attempt that wild build!

Are you a Bush Runner or a Guerrilla Master? With StealthFyre, the choice is truly yours to make. Even after you’ve chosen your kit. No other stove on the market can offer this kind of versatility and considering each of our kits is more than one stove while at the same time being able to adapt to any outdoors situation, no other stove on the market can offer this kind of value either.

No matter the choice you make, you’ll never be left out in the cold with StealthFyre. Didn’t buy a large enough kit to suit your needs? Buy another and combine the two for superior performance. Got too much stove on your hands? Don’t worry. Carry only what you need and keep the extra panels as spare parts! This is what puts StealthFyre survival stoves in a class of its own.
